My mother used rice flour, and couldn’t use a bread maker, had to buy a kitchen aid to mix dough- I guess it would depend on ingredients you will be using………

the JML breadmaker rocks. even though you just chuck it all in, make sure u do it with love, or you end up with a rock hard lump that the birds wont even eat.have also made malt loaf in it, which is fab!good luck!!!
I don’t know if I would invest in one. If you know someone who has one I would try it out first. It might be a waste of money. I have a pretty high quality Zojirushi bread maker and still have not successfully made a loaf of gluten free bread that could pass as regular. I have a friend and every times she comes I try. She says they’re okay. She likes it better made from the oven. And not to toot my own horn, I am a pretty good cook.
We own the Breadman TR875 2lb bread maker. Coolest feature: Gluten-Free Cycle which has shorter kneading time. We don’t know if it is a general problem or just with our machine but we can’t get GF cycle to cook a 2 lb loaf. The machine has a separate, just plain “Bake” cycle that we use. They look more or less like normal loaves of bread – not those funny round loaves.
